About Us
The Civic Trust South East, or CTSE, is the association of Civic Societies in the South East.
Who belongs?
All the Civic or Amenity Societies which were registered with the former Civic Trust.
What area does it cover?
Everything within the South East Government Region (ie. the old counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, East Sussex, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey, West Sussex).
What does it do?
Work together to promote the aims and activities of member societies and Civic Trust Groups in the region. Promotes a high standard of architecture and building in cities, towns, villages and the countryside, and encourage the preservation and creation of beauty and amenity. Identify, protect, maintain and beautify historic buildings and features. Raises awareness in communities and organisations to shape and enhance their environments and identities. CTSE represents the views of members to influence regional government and other organisations. Provides another means of communication between members and the Civic Trust. Promote the Civic Trust South East within the region.
- It promotes the Civic Society movement as a whole.
- It represents Civic Societies on regional consultative bodies such as RAISE (Regional Action & Involvement South East) and SEFS (South East Forum for Sustainability).
- It organises conferences and seminars - see Events page.
- It provides a sounding board for Civic Societies.

- Promotes awareness of urban heritage and amenity.
- Affordable housing.
- Overdevelopment of the South East of England.

- Since 2003.
